Welcome to the Waltzingmouse Stamps May release DT blog waltz!! Two fabulous new stamp sets - USA 1776 and Country Labels No.4 are now available to purchase from the Waltzingmouse Stamps store. You should have arrived here from Becca's blog. If you've missed any of the blog waltz, visit Claire's blog for the full list of participants. I've stripped things back for my cards today and gone more CAS so you can clearly see these fabulous new stamps in all their glory!
I finally got to play with the firework stamps from USA 1776, they are so much fun to stamp. Here I used Memento Lady Bug and Danube Blue. I also used the star stamp from USA 1776 to add some more pizzazz to my fireworks, repeat stamping without re-inking, I love this look. I also continued the fireworks and stars onto the base layer of my card, I love the dimension it gives!
I used two of the sentiments stamps from USA 1776 for my sentiment. To get the shadow effect on the USA, I stamped it first in red and then slightly off-register to the left in blue. It've a very easy technique to do. For my second card I went all natural and country.
I used the circle label stamp from Country Labels No.4 and the leaf motif stamp from the same set to stamp my wreath using VersaMagic Tea Leaves. Again I did some repeat stamping without re-inking to achieve the look.
I stamped the little house using Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink and the sentiment is also from Country Labels No.4. The green cardstock is from Tim Holtz Kraft-Core Nostalgic Collection from Core'dinations. The gingham stamp is from the previously released Gingham & Co. it works so well with the country labels set!
Speaking of gingham, next up is the Gingham Girl herself Kelly Schirmer. Oh and there will be a prize of a stamp set of choice for one lucky commenter from a random drawing from comments left on the DT's blogs. You have until June 1st 11:59PM GMT to leave a comment. Enjoy the rest of the waltz!!

Welcome to day 3 of the Waltzingmouse Stamps May release previews. Today we're reviewing both new stamp sets being released - USA 1776 and Country Labels No.4.
I was aiming for a quilt effect card using the star shape elements from USA 1776, stamped in a mix of colors to create the look of a quilt. My crafty friend Lin inspired me to use the houndstooth embossing folder over my stamped panel to give the dimpled look of a real quilt.
I used another of the fabulous labels from Country Labels No.4 and the sentiment is from the same stamp set. All the cardstock I used is from the Tim Holtz Kraft-Core Nostalgic Collection from Core'dinations.
I'll be back tomorrow with the entire Waltzingmouse Stamps design team to showcase these brilliant new stamp sets for the release day blog waltz!! In the meantime check out what my fellow teammates created to inspire you today.
I'm just popping in with a card I made for The Craft's Meow blog using Wildflowers and Chalkboard Birthday. I did some paper-piecing using some patterned paper and added some details using Distress Markers. The sweet butterflies are from the Wildflowers stamp set.
The sentiment (which I really love!) is from Chalkboard Birthday. I also added some Marigold Twine from SRM Stickers. Cardstock is from Core Essentials Brights from Core'dinations.
I'll be back later with another card, thanks for visiting my blog. I really appreciate your comments.

Welcome to day 2 of the Waltzingmouse Stamps May release previews. Today we're taking a look at USA 1776, a wonderfully patriotic stamp set dedicated to the USA! I had a blast with this set and I'm not even American.
The background paper I stamped using two 'kite' shaped elements from the set that make up a star shape. Once I had stamped the background I embossed it with a houndstooth embossing folder to add some texture. The sentiment from the set is just one of 6 elements. I have to say I love the Statue of Liberty silhouette stamp, it's such a great size, I cut it out by hand which wasn't too tricky.
All the cardstock I used is from Core'dinations and I really found the Kraft-Core Collection perfect for this distressed look. All the edges are inked with a mix of Antique Linen, Scattered Straw and Vintage Photo Distress Inks. My second card is a little bit more vibrant!
I had to use some cardstock from Tim Holtz Kraft-Core Seasonal Impressions from Core'dinations, the Americana pages were just the perfect fit for my cards and I love the kraft core once sanded! The red stripes I created using the Mini Rays embossing folder from Sizzix.
I'm loving the star border frame from USA 1776 and check out those fonts Claire used on the sentiments. The larger star is also from the same set and I just randomly repeat stamped it, only re-inking every other impression, I love this look! The eagle is another iconic image Claire included in this amazing set, I think Claire will have cut files available but I'm still happy to use my scissors for now!
I kept it simple on the inside and added another sentiment and the star motif from the set. There are lots of other images in this set that I couldn't cram into my card but I know you'll just love.
So I have to say USA 1776 is one pretty cool set, even if you don't live in America this is a great set to have in your stash to make cards for your American friends!! I can't wait to see what some of my American friends have created with this set! I'll see you tomorrow with some more creations! : )

Welcome to day 1 of the Waltzingmouse Stamps May release previews. Today the DT are previewing the fabulous new Country Labels 4. These labels co-ordinate with Spellbinders Labels 4, one of my favorite sets! I just love the country feel to this set, so I went with a primitive, rustic style for my cards.
I'm still loving the chalkboard style so I made that the focal point of my card. This new set has five motif stamps, I used the little house on my label. The background plaid I stamped using Pic-Nic Patterns and Off Beat Backgrounds, the little stars are a sneak peek from tomorrow's set.
I also made a fun bookmark in the same style, again using Spellbinders Labels 4 and one of the labels from Country Labels 4. There are six great labels in this set and seven sentiments.
The bookmark could also be used as a tag. All the cardstock used is from Core'dinations and the edges are inked using Distress Inks - Antique Linen and Scattered Straw.
For my second card I used one of the patchwork labels, these are so cute! I really wanted a mix of colors so I used Distress Markers to color each section, this is an easy way to color sections of a stamp, I used Barn Door and Vintage Photo.
I kept this one fairly simple, again sticking with the rustic country charm! I had to add a bit of gingham and some eyelet lace! The woodgrain cardstock is pre-embossed from Core'dinations.
I hope you're loving Country Labels 4 as much as I am, just wait 'til you see tomorrow's set! It's very patriotic! Visit Claire's blog for more details. Here are the DT members sharing creations today!

It's been a busy week so far and I've still a lot to pack into the rest of the week! Isabelle's been off school sick the last couple of days, just a cold with a nasty old cough. Here's hoping she'll be feeling better soon, I hate seeing her under the weather.
Anyway, on to the card, it's week four already at CASE Study with Maile Belles as our muse. Check out her beautiful card this week.
I went slightly less (ok a lot less) CAS this week. I CASEd the floral focus and general layout of Maile's card. The sticker sentiment is from Sticker Sentiments - Wishing You Well from SRM Stickers and the Flax Twine is also from SRM Stickers. The flowers are from Tilda.
The pink dotty cardstock is from Spotted Tillie Dot by Core'dinations, it's actually a pre-embossed cardstock that comes in a range of colors. I partially sanded it using the Sand-It Gadget. The light pink cardstock is from The Whitewash Collection by Core'dinations and I embossed a section of it using the Houndstooth embossing folder to add some texture.
Don't forget to visit the CASE Study blog to have a look at what the rest of the team created. Thanks for dropping by! I'll be back on Sunday with some previews for the Waltzingmouse Stamps May release!!

I stamped the sentiment using VersaMark ink and heat embossed in white onto some Core'dinations cardstock. I added some subtle pastel color to the embossing using blending chalks. The outlines and ruled lines I added with a white pencil, I also rubbed the edges and surface with a white pigment ink pad to achieve the chalkboard effect.
Cardstock is from the Adirondack Collection from Core'dinations and I embossed the turquoise cardstock using Embossalicious Petite Dot from Crafter's Companion. The Caribbean Twine is from SRM Stickers.
On my second card I used the new Chalkboard Birthday stamp set and the flower stamp from Side by Side. Cardstock is from Core Essentials Cardstock Brights and I lightly sanded the edges and surface using the Sand-It Gadget. The turquoise cardstock is embossed using the Chevron Ebossalicious embossing folder from Crafter's Companion.
If you haven't tried the chalkboard effect yet this stamp set is the perfect place to start, all the work is done for you.
Next up on the hop is the talented Deborah Nolan, you can visit The Craft's Meow blog to see the full list of participants today.
There's a chance to WIN all 5 new stamp sets by leaving a comment on each of the designer's blogs by 9:00pm Thursday May 23rd. Good luck! Enjoy the rest of the hop!

Welcome to day 4 of The Craft's Meow May release previews. Today the team are previewing the stamp set - Let's Face It by NinaB Designs. This is such a fun set, it's packed full of great mix and match elements. There's this lovely lady, with lots of different glasses to choose from, there's also masculine options too, as well as speech and thought bubbles not to mention all 11 sentiments!
I paper pieced the scarf with some patterned paper and to add some shimmer I heat embossed her glasses with gold embossing powder! I love how you can personalize each face, I colored my lady with Disress Markers. The saddle stitch grosgrain ribbon is from Craft Fairy.

Welcome to day 3 of The Craft's Meow May release previews. Today the team are previewing the stamp set - Side by Side designed by Karen Baker. This set includes thirteen sentiment elements and three fabulous flower motifs. My first card also includes the humming bird from yesterday's set Wildflowers.
I had so much fun stamping these flowers, I colored them with Distress Markers and cut them out. I love this beautiful sentiment.
I just had to add the hummingbird from the Wildflowers set, I just love how it brings the whole scene to life.
For my second card I used the same flower stamps from Side by Side but used them to create a patterned paper.
I used Mowed Lawn Distress Ink to stamp the flowers and colored with Distress Markers.
I die cut a label and used the negative from the remaining patterned paper that I created. I used foam pads to add dimension and I added my sentiment to the center.
Remember to leave a comment to be in with a chance of winning a stamp set, the deadline to leave comments is 9pm PST. Don't forget to visit The Craft's Meow blog to see all the fabulous creations from the rest of the design team. I'll be back tomorrow with another card for day 4 of previews!
